heaven on earth

IS st. george. Ever since moving away from home sweet home, my BF and I have referred to this place as paradise. I seriously get goosebumps as I pull into town...thats how much I love it. It is especially nice when the weather is so much more beautiful down there than up here in p-town. We went down this weekend with the bennions and our friend greg and got some R&R. I didn't realize how much I needed the sunshine and red rocks till I was there.

Infant Swimming Resource

k so I don't have kids but I will someday and this video is crazy! My older sister told us about it. You have got to watch it. I don't know how many kids drown a year but it is such a preventable tragedy. I just never thought it was possible to be preventable by teaching your baby to swim/float. Really this is amazing. I already want to do this someday when I have a baby. It is pretty expensive and you have to get at least 30 people in your area that want to do it for them to travel where you are but seriously...you need to watch this video. I don't know how to get videos on my blog so you will have to follow this link.

SN-BYU

so it's my second to last semester of nursing school. I am in the ICU's at Intermountain Medical Center for clinical this semester and I am totally loving it. We basically rotate through all the ICU departments there so we get to see the cardiac patients, trauma patients, respiratory patients, nuero patients and the ER. The nurses are so smart and really know what is going on with their patients. I really feel like all my physiology/patho/nursing care is all coming together this semester. I am still totally freaked out by the idea of actually being an RN on my own but I know I will get to the point where I am confident in myself and my knowledge. I am really excited to get there! For now I am totally satisfied signing SN after my name instead of RN. here we are in the basement trying out the ventilator for ourselves. I feel so bad for people that have to be on a ventilator. not only do they have a huge tube down their throat but this machine seriously like power forces air into your lungs. Thankfully we have them though because even though they are miserable, they save lives:)
